Poonphol Group Leads Green Action with Partners Through Environmental Initiatives

On April 3-4, 2026,  Poonphol Group, led by its affiliates SMS Corporation Co., Ltd., Thanakorn Vegetable Oil Products Co., Ltd., and Sitthinan Co., Ltd., hosted the annual seminar “POONPHOL GROUP FORWARD KNOWLEDGE SYNERGY 2026.”

This year’s event focused on social and environmental initiatives held under the concept “Cultivating Green Futures for Sustainable Growth with SMS 2026.” 

The seminar was organized in collaboration with Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus and key business partners. The initiative aimed to conserve and restore natural resources, promote sustainable use of community forest resources, raise sustainability awareness, and strengthen relationships among organizations. The event took place at the Viman Din Development and Training Center, Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus.

Mr. Petch Wanglee, Managing Director of Thanakorn Vegetable Oil Products Co., Ltd., stated that Poonphol Group has been committed to operating alongside Thai society, contributing to the country’s social and economic development for over 85 years. He emphasized the importance of customers and business partners as key drivers behind the Group’s continued success and trusted reputation.

Mr. Khem Wanglee, Managing Director of SMS Corporation Co., Ltd., highlighted that the event also served as an opportunity to bring together partners and stakeholders to advance collaboration in corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability.

Key activities included the construction of 20 check dams and the planting of 200 trees, including Thong Urai and Kanlapaphruek species. These efforts were complemented by relationship-building activities designed to strengthen collaboration among communities, organizations, and society.

The seminar also featured knowledge-sharing sessions led by Poonphol Group’s experts, covering sustainability-driven business practices:

• “Building a Sustainable Future with SMS: Confidence through Traceable Supply” by Dr. Siwarutt Boonyarattanakalin, Assistant Innovation Director

• “Technology for the Future” by Dr. Kuekul Piyajomkwan, Assistant Managing Director – Innovation & Biotechnology

• “The Power of Collaboration for Sustainable Society and Environment” by Mr. Panuwat Yeehwangcharoen, Deputy Director of Corporate Sustainability Management
